Installation Considerations
Select the correct natural gas or liquid propane configuration when ordering. Do not connect the burner to a fuel type for which it was not manufactured.
Install the burner in a properly constructed and ventilated outdoor kitchen island. Gas connections, regulators, and shutoff valves must remain accessible after installation.
An approved insulated jacket is required when combustible materials are located within the manufacturer’s restricted installation area.
The outdoor island must include cross ventilation to prevent the accumulation of heat or gas. Do not position all ventilation openings on the same wall of the enclosure.
Install propane ventilation openings near the bottom of the island because propane is heavier than air. Natural-gas ventilation openings should be positioned higher because natural gas is lighter than air.
A 120V GFCI-protected outdoor electrical connection is required for illuminated components. Keep electrical cords away from water, heated surfaces, and walkways.
Professional installation is recommended to confirm the countertop cutout, fuel supply, gas pressure, electrical connection, island ventilation, combustible clearances, and access requirements.
