Installation Considerations
The hood can be installed with a 3 1/4-by-10-inch vertical duct, a 3 1/4-by-10-inch horizontal rear duct, a seven-inch vertical round duct, or configured for non-ducted recirculation.
Non-ducted installations require an optional charcoal filter. Exterior ducting generally provides better removal of heat, moisture, smoke, and cooking odors.
A rectangular damper and adapter are included. The seven-inch round adapter is included, but the compatible round damper is sold separately.
Install the hood approximately 18 to 24 inches above the cooking surface unless the cooking-appliance instructions or local codes require additional clearance.
Professional installation is recommended to confirm the electrical connection, duct configuration, cabinet dimensions, clearances, and compatibility with the cooking appliance.
